The HPE 100Gb Intel Omni-Path Adapters (x16 & x8) are designed for customers who deploy High Performance Computing (HPC) using HPE Apollo, HPE ProLiant XL and DL server families in the data center. The HPE 100 Gb 1p OP101 QSFP28 x16 and x8 OPA adapters and HPE Apollo 100Gb 1p OPA 860z FIO Adapters are available today. Each supports one QSFP28 port with 100 Gb/s performance. By managing the traffic at a fine-grain Flow Control Digits (FLITs) level, the adapters and switches are able to make extremely granular switching decisions to optimize the performance.
The Intel Omni-Path 1U Switches (managed & unmanaged) work with the HPE 100Gb Intel Omni-Path Adapters to deliver high-performance connectivity for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems using HPE Apollo, HPE ProLiant XL or DL servers in the data center. The Omni-Path 1U Switches feature 48 QSFP28 ports, delivering 9.6 Tb/s non-blocking switching capacity.
The Intel Omni-Path Director Switches (192 & 768 ports) are designed to work with HPE 100Gb Intel Omni-Path Adapters and Intel Omni-Path 1U Switches to deliver high performance connectivity for High Performance Computing (HPC) systems using the HPE Apollo, HPE ProLiant XL or DL servers in the data center. The Omni-Path Director Switches consist of two switch chassis: the 192-port switch chassis and the 768-port switch chassis, with common Management Module, Spine Module, and QSFP Leaf Module. The Intel Omni-Path Switch family effectively supports clusters of all sizes.
